1st birthday cake smash photo sessions. I’m sure we’ve all seen photos of them. Who doesn’t like a cute baby with cake smooshed all over its face?! This here though, a session filled with loving and laughing and playing together, this is what makes my heart happy. 

This is the adorable toddler little miss Emi on her first birthday. Her parents had the wonderful idea (not that I’m biased or anything!) to document some lovely moments spent together the day she turned 1.  

A cheeky little chatterbox, Emi greeted me with smiles and waves (something not to be taken for granted with my young clients!) We spent a relaxed morning at home, with tickles and snuggles as I captured some of the crazy wonderful that is their life together. 

My favourite moments though, they came when dad pulled out his guitar. You could just see how important music was in their life, so that’s exactly what I want to be documenting. Emi loves to groove to RnB, and why not when she has her own personal musician? Although I think the jury is still out on whether she’ll be joining dad on vocals or drums. 

Personally, I think this is a pretty awesome way to spend a 1st birthday! Thanks for letting me crash your birthday celebrations Emi. xx
