Not every wedding needs a crowd to feel full of love. After a heartfelt Registry Office ceremony at the Old Treasury Building, this couple celebrated their marriage with a quiet, joyful photo session through Treasury Gardens and Treasury Place, joined by just their immediate family and so many smiles.
Before a bigger celebration planned at home later that evening, they took this time to slow down, breathe, and savour the first hour of being married. And honestly? It was magic.

A Walk Through Treasury Gardens, Just the Two of Them
We began in Treasury Gardens, where the soft afternoon light filtered through the trees and the city fell away. This part of the day was just for them—no schedule, no crowd, just space to be together. And they laughed. So much.
There were stolen glances, spontaneous giggles, arms wrapped around each other, and that wide-open kind of joy that you just can’t fake. These two were completely at ease in each other’s company—and the gardens gave us the perfect setting to capture that.
Strolling Through Treasury Place
After those quiet moments together, we made our way up Treasury Place. The pale stone buildings and gentle architectural lines gave their portraits a timeless, editorial feel—still full of movement and joy, but with a touch of classic elegance. It’s one of my favourite transitions from nature to city: close by, but visually so different.
Reuniting with Family in the Gardens
Back near Old Treasury Building, we met up with their wedding guest – two sets of parents, a brother, and their delightfully cheeky nephew who brought a spark of playful energy to the group. The couple’s warmth carried through as we walked back down Treasury Place and into the gardens, capturing natural, relaxed portraits along the way.
While the family kept things fairly low-key, the couple’s connection and joy remained the heart of the session. Their nephew kept us all on our toes (in the best way), and those little moments of movement and mischief added a lovely, real-life charm to the images.
It wasn’t about perfect poses—it was about honouring who was there and the part they played in the day. And sometimes, that quiet presence speaks just as much as big emotions do.
