newborn photography Melbourne
This Diamond Creek family weren't so interested in the traditional newborn photos - baby looking all sweet curled up in a wrap - so much as photos of them loving on their baby boy. That's my kind of photo shoot! Families being themselves, relaxing in front of the camera, snuggling with their loved ones. They're the photos that mean so much to me personally, and they're the kind of photos that I want to give my clients.
I love that photo of Mum holding her baby boy with his wonderful podgy baby rolls and the sweetest little dimples on his bottom. Big sister was adorable too, adapting to life with a new little person in the family.
This was an absolute dream of a newborn session and I have trouble narrowing it down to my favourite photos.
I've been best friends with Nicole since we were about 8 years old. Chris, this brand new Dad, is her little brother so I've known him since he was even younger. I can't describe how happy my heart was seeing him head over heels in love with his baby daughter.
I've had the pleasure of photographing Nicole's daughter, her sister and her daughters and this latest, newest, littlest cousin. I love this job!
Seeing fathers loving on their little babies has to be one of my favourite things in the world.
Little miss Mia of the incredible blue eyes and gorgeous chunky thighs. It was a grizzly start to our photo session, which later made sense when she popped a tooth. (Discovered when she bit down hard on her dad's finger. drawing blood!) But a nap in mum's arms and some snuggles fixes pretty much anything.
This little darling was the first newborn shoot I have done, which is quite fitting as she is the daughter of Brooke, my first ever maternity session. It was lovely to come back and meet her!
Ashlea turned two weeks old the day we took these photos and, despite being feed and snuggled, was disinclined to just drift off back to sleep. As for taking some naked baby photos, well she made her opinion known about that! She is an absolutely sweetheart though and you can see how much her parents adore her. Such a privilege to be able to capture these images for them.
